Seriously Typography!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t and Good Day everyone,

It's like a dream comes true when I finally have courage to trust my fingers in typography quilling. It is hard to actually build the confidence to finish someone's birthday card and proudly present it here. This is seriously my first time making it look this way.

“Embossed letters represent the topography of typography.
”
~ Jarod Kintz, This Book Has No Title ~

I cut all strips manually and spend so much time choosing right font to make it possible. I doubt myself and was really trembling, can't stop myself asking "do I do it right?" "why my alpha looks weird?" "is it okay if I put this here?" "should I do it this way?" ooohhh, on and on and on, so much to write here.

I believe that everything begins at first time, if not now, then when it would be?

"No one can possibly know what is about to happen,
it is happening, each time, for the first time, for the only time"
~ James A. Baldwin ~

Forgive me when you see imperfection and so much of flaws here and there, I have to say that all the flaws and imperfection is an art too, it is a handmade after all...LOL. By the way, I did beehive quilling, to fill the upper side of the alpha, along with arranged strips at lower side of the alphas to create uniformity for the card.

“Typography is the craft of endowing human language with a durable visual form.”
~ Robert Bringhurst, The Elements of Typographic Style ~

Final touch! I love using linen sheets to create natural mood to the card, it looks so much like grass and believe me, I did try to add some embellishments onto it but nothing can wow me. It looks much better without them.

Thanks so much for spending time here, see you in next post.
Happy weekend and have a blissful day!
