Buah cempedak di luar pagar,
Ambil galah tolong jolokkan,
Saya budak baru belajar,
Kalau salah tolong tunjukkan.
It has
been a year and 3 month ++ since I started to do quilling. YES! I can still be
considered as beginner in this amazing quilling stuff. It begins as a hobby, but somehow it changed to
something that I think I should seriously into it. I love paper crafting &
handmade stuff since I was in school. I used to create cards, with paper-made
kimono on top of it and sell them to my friends. It was a big sale during that
time. Hohoho. No wonder there was lots of wrappers in my messy room =p
Years ago, I made bunch of
handmade cards, box & decorated frames for my loved one and I consider that
was normal and nothing to be proud of. February 2011, I gave birth to my twin
daughters, Nur Izzah Huwaida and Nur Annisa Humaira. When they were babies, they
sleep a lot and I have nothing much to do. I got really bored. One very lucky
day, I watched Wanita Hari Ini and fall for quilling for the first time. YES!
It was miyyah@kertas on TV. I got really excited and start to google for weeks
in order to get really understand about it.
I've
been planning to create a blog months ago, and now, YES! I finally created a blog.
Beside of sharing the 'impact' of quilling on me, I actually created this blog
to appreciate everyone that inspire me a lot for these crafty stuff.
Starting with the owner of miyyah@kertas, bunch of
thanks. Though we don't know each other but your works inspire me a lot. I can
simply email you to say thanks but I really want to do that in other way. Thank
you again and all the best for anything you do.
It looks familiar doesn't it? hehe..This is actually from miyyah@kertas, coincidently, I have the same photo album, in soft pink colour, it was a wedding present and I didn't use it yet, so I decide to 'copy' that. Not really nice as this is actually my first try on quilling. Please do not compare my messy photo album with the blue one okay?
The next person I'd like to say thanks is the owner of Crafty Diva's. I bought my quilling tools from her and YES! I enjoy using them. Thank you so much =)
When I was into handmade
stuff, I also got interested in alphabet stamp. I tried to search the alphabet
stamps and other cute rubber stamps at bookstores, so I can use them in making
cards. I was really frustrated as there were lacks of bookstores or
scrapbooking stores in Malaysia that sell those things. It almost makes me 'crazy' when I accidently watch twopeasinabucket videos when I watch quilling
videos on youtube. How I adore all scrapbooking tools they're using. Clear
stamps, dye ink, pigment ink, pattern papers, craft punches, alphabet stickers and etc..
USING ALPHABET STAMPS
That's why I often go to scrap n crop and started to spend there. For Valerie and family, the owner of scrap n crop, thank you for being the best
online scrapbooking stores for crafters like me. With all scrapbooking stuff
that I bought from Scrap n Crop, I started to make cards for secondary school’s
students with my sister's help. Alhamdulillah, I earn some money there, and what
really satisfy me a lot is I love what I do.
slmt berniaga mummy!!
