Handbound Books: Coptic Binding

Handbound books are perfect as travel journal, scrapbook, sketch book and also personalized gift that you can decorate yourself. I guess it is good to learn new things everyday. I'm starting to like all this stuff more when I see smileys on faces, especially when I present this to all. YES, everyone loves free gifts, right?

It reminds me how I always love beautiful books and diaries displayed in library and book stores. It is very easy for me to get jealous of my friends when I see their colourful-covered books and yet very expensive too. It is not that I didn't get chance to have books like that too but most of time, I avoid doing so.

Such a very nice books, have to be written with nice notes / stories and nice handwriting too, don't you think so? That was a main reason why I avoid buying books, no matter how much I wanted to own them. Heh, such a lame excuses!

I'm also planning on attending class and workshop for bookbinding slot, not only to meet creative people out there, but also to improve skills and gain so much info and experiences from them.

Simply a Desktop Calender 2013

Assalamualaikum w.b.t and Hello everyone!

Today, I would like to share my little desktop calender that I made using a corrugate board and quilling flowers as the embellishment to the calender. 

It is very easy to make as I simply printed out the calender template and started to cut and glue them out on pieces of hard card stock. 12 months a year means 12 pieces of same size cards. Of course you can draw your own calender template or simply print it out from internet. As easy as that! 

If you have stickers of months and numbers, that would be a big help. You can also use other embellishments such as buttons, ribbons, twines as well as cut-outs to make your calender pop out!
